Signs to investigate
Look for drips at joints, staining, peeling paint, water marks, rust, sagging sections, loose brackets, garden erosion or overflow during rain. The visible point may not be the original cause.
Inspection and quote details
Ask which sections, outlets and downpipes are included; what material, profile and colour are proposed; how access and disposal are handled; and whether stormwater connections are included.
Safety and licensing
Roof and ladder work carries fall risks. Plumbing and drainage requirements vary with the work. Confirm the contractor is appropriately licensed and insured for the proposed scope.
